The Do Good Community Closet at Lodestar School is where students, their families, and educators in need can access much-needed clothes, food, and other essential items. Through the generous donations of our community members, we can provide resources for those struggling with their current financial situation. This will help students in your school district feel more confident and supported. We aim for every student to feel included in our learning environment, no matter their circumstances. We are so thankful for the generosity of our community members who have made this possible. Every contribution makes a difference and helps us create a more equitable educational experience.

This particular Do Good Community Closet is dedicated to a sweet girl named Jada, who has passed. We collectively and lovingly call it Jada's Closet. You can read about Jada's story given by her cousin, Dr. Sabunmi Woods.

" Hello, my name is Dr. Sabunmi Woods, and I am writing this on behalf of my family. Just recently, we lost a very beautiful, smart, intelligent little soul. Her name is Jada Moore, aka “Jadabada.” Jada was five years old when she was tragically taken from us. Jada is my little cousin, more like a niece to me. Jada was bright and such a beautiful little girl; she used to twirl like a ballerina, her favorite color was pink, and she loved Barbie. Her eyes told a story that only she knew; she was kind, always willing to help her mother with her little sister. Although she was only 5, it felt like Jada had been here before. Jada had a laugh that would make anyone feel as though they had reached the gates of heaven; her smile would open up a room. Jada was just that special to all of us. Jada is truly missed, and it feels like a piece of our hearts is missing."
