Nielsen Tam

The All Good Living Foundation is proud to serve our community in honor of our inspiration, Nielsen Tam.

Nielsen Tam dedicated his life to serving his community and the public school system for over 45 years. He was an Alameda Unified school district professional for 39 years, serving 28 years in Special Education and 11 years as a principal. One month after he retired, he ran for the Alameda School Board and served six years before passing away in 2015. Nielsen was fundamental in creating several nonprofits in Alameda to help children, families, immigrants, and less advantaged community members. He firmly believed that community involvement was the best way to promote the safety, health, and well-being of children, families, and social systems. His community involvement included serving on several community boards and volunteering for causes and organizations that benefited children and families in Alameda.
