Garfield Elementary
AGLF is stepping up for the students at Garfield Elementary in Oakland, where 47 kids are currently experiencing homelessness. When a school is carrying that kind of weight, you don’t just show up with good intentions — you show up with solutions. So we delivered a full washer and dryer set to help families keep their kids’ clothes clean, comfortable, and school-ready, without the stress or cost that too often stands in the way.
We also built a Do Good Community Closet right on campus, stocked with essentials that students and families can access with dignity and ease. Clothing, toiletries, food—simple things that make an enormous difference. It’s support that doesn’t just patch the problem; it lifts the whole community. Garfield’s kids deserve stability, comfort, and care, and we’re making sure they feel it every day.
