Paden Elementary’s Paden Monarch Kings & Queens is a group of students who identify as African American and multi-ethnic. They gather to learn about their own and others’ richly diverse cultures. Recently after the delivery of non-perishable foods, the Monarchs came together to sort through and organize the products. This task was difficult, but these caring children worked hard to get the job done. With their help, the Monarchs prepared 45 bags of non-perishables to distribute to their community’s needy families. Who says we can’t learn from children? The Monarchs is a fine example of our youth’s importance to our community, proving they care more than we think. Thank you, Renate and the Monarchs, for being there and showing that community counts!
