Covid19 has decimated California's economy leaving about 3 million Californians unemployed. Alameda County ranks in the top 10 counties with the highest number of jobs lost, about 112,500. With those numbers, I'm sure we know someone experiencing economic hardship due to the pandemic. It's been a long six months, and we are still uncertain what to expect. We do know that people are still out of work and struggling daily.
We've been getting inquiries to sponsor families more and more. So we decided to add that to the options for helping our community. In this health crisis, direct financial relief can make a difference between feeling secure in staying in your home and having enough to provide food for your family.
